Since we got quite a few post on the good, bad and mediocre types of places to buy. I edited my initial post with them a bit organized.

Ebay: cinetoyscollectors TERRIBLE.
ordered some shinkis off them, they never showed. All attempts to communicate either in French or English were met with frosty silence.
If they run another "Shinki Promo" Dont bother, you will have wasted your money.

I put the name up on the list, but I can't seem to find them on ebay. They may have been taken down already or I just can't find them. Either way, list is updated again.

Just further reinforcing Anime King here, but for buying Shinki in person! =D
I had the luck to stumble upon a booth at Anime Expo 2009 and they had been selling series 1, 2, and 4 for $25 a set. Waffebunny was $10 or free with buying any 2 of those sets. Otherwise, they had series 1 update, 9, and 10 at about $55. :/
All the more reason to check out nearby conventions if you don't already. :P
There's also Frank and Sons Collectible Show in City of Industry, California. If you ever get the chance to stop by, some booths may have Shinki. Last I checked, they were roughly equal to their retail price.

Re: Best/Worst Locations to Buy Busou Shinki
I have recieved a quote from him for shinkis but the deal did not go through. However I have had other transactions with him on ebay. Service wise he is very good, and quite pleasant and easy to communicate, fast shipping too. My last transaction was a fairly priced Mizuki.Caterwaul wrote:Can anyone tell me anything good/Bad about Tokyohunter? Received a quote for something and...well, I was expecting some markup but not quite that much. How much are people generally getting marked up for Proxy services?

So then... how do you people rate Tokyohunter so I know how to place it. Since I have no relations with it. I know it's a Proxy service, but still. How do you people feel about placing it?

You'll get it, and it'll get to you without hassle. It'll just be expensive. No idea how expensive compared to other proxies though. I recommend him with that warning in place.

Crescent Shop is a good proxy. I've used them to get stuff off Konamistyle a few times. Reasonable prices, very good communication, good shipping & handling.
