I'd say the blame for that lies entirely with the 'Legion' things.

Big part of it. Not the only part of it though. The fanservice was also a wee bit to far out there. I dont mind fanservice, but not when it's attached to what's traditionally a children's property.

Still wouldn't be nearly as bad without the Legions.

I guess it's just me but, the spoon girl's colors are terrible. The orange hair just doesn't go...
All the customs they are showing made by other people are worth getting and impressive. This is a let down.

I blame the 'orange' on lighting. She'll likely be a redhead.
Custom shinki don't need to adhere to the strict regulations and costs that official Shinki do.

dWhat do you mean by regulations? Does this have something to do with rantinan's anatomically correct shinki?

More like what's economically feasible to mass produce in a toy line, even one geared to older otaku. I'm sure there's some degree of censorship involved too as they ARE sold in mass toy stores, but I dont think that's a primary concern considering the conceit of them being 1:1 scale, non anatomically correct robots. Also, safety regulations, whatever they might be in Japan.

Do you go around calling them 'orangeheads'? Cuz that would be great.
