Remember that prototypes are just that - prototypes. Konami is milking the series for all it's worth.Vocaloid wrote:Taking forever to be released, it's almost been a year since prototypes =(
- Arnval2 and Strarf bis were released in December, 2008 (Reissues with more stuff)
- The full release models of Partio and Pomock arrived in February of 2009.
- Repaints of Arnval2 and Straf bis as Fallen and Ascended respectively were released in March 2009, along with Mizuki (a Fubuki repaint with a pair of wings) - all of which were part of the exclusive Konami shop deals :(
- Ojousama Nagi was also released in March 2009 along with the game she was from.
We're sitting in April now, so I'd say we have a few months to go before they release something totally new to the market. We've seen a few customs and official art floating around a bit (The princess customs for example, and the witch light armor variant which was cute but also that heavily armored long haired Shinki, a headless light armor 'jet' type) but they're biding their time for the best time for them to hit the market. Collectors fall over themselves for the repaints and limited editions, so I'd reckon Konami are watching for things to die down a bit - June/July perhaps.
I have my fingers crossed that the witch one I saw will be made into one - she was great.
Be patient! Make some customs up yourself and post them while we wait~ I'm sure it will be worth it.
(The paedo argument however is something different - I can understand from an outsider's point of view as to how it looks, but Japan has exhibited far worse items that truly can carry this label. Shinkis are not one of them.)
