I'm tempted to work out a papercraft version of those charging beds, though probably heavily inaccurate.

Yeah, these things have some tricky shapes that papercraft might not be able to reproduce all that well. I think some sort of hard foam would work better (you could probably even seal it and paint it and have a pretty accurate replica).
Or you could try papier-maché if you insist on using paper.

Neat. I really dig the alt version of Atlene,.. her sister however,... I can't get over how the hair looks in yellow for Altines.. But it's still a nice little shinki squad.
