same problem.
that is most certainly the worst issue on mms 3rd body. I dont even like to switch chestplates on behalf of that -my tempesta is forever graced with the default!
I dont know really how to fix that, but all mine wont click in place and im sure no one else's do either.

it takes, odd as it may sound, a bit of stretching of the soft plastic to get them to latch, but they should...

What Xehn said.
I had that problem with both Partio and Altrene -- the only MMS-3rd Shinkis I own currently -- and I literally had to stretch the chest pieces a bit in order to get them to snap into piece both in the front and in the back.

How did you 'stretch' it exactly?

All my girls.

Exactly the way it's worded. You just...stretch it, literally. The MMS3 chest piece have tabs on the front end and the back end and to make them stick, you have to make sure the tabs actually hook onto the places where they're supposed to look onto. However, you want to make sure that the tabs are firmly tabbed into place and not just a half-assed tabbing otherwise you run the risk of ruining the tabs themselves. Basically it requires some patience and maybe a hair dryer. No, I'm serious. Also, for obvious reasons, you don't want to overstretch either. Do it just enough so that the tabs can be firmly pushed into place. And always hook the front before hooking the back otherwise you'll ruin them as well.

I usually just put the vest over the neck, hook one side, then pull the other down far enough to get it over the lip.
