Here's Laika's custom backpack unit, courtesy of a 1/144 Verde Buster (and GN-X III's GN Drive, same source of her leg armor). I still lack paint for redesigning her MMS body though...

Mat finish looks really sweet! And Verde Busters canons also look in place thought if it were me I should have painted them too in some darker color.

I had to redo the ears, 'cause they look more like cat ears (fine if I have a Maochao, but not for a Howling...).

Now, all better!

Been an awful while since my last post (blame it on Dragon Nest

).

Seems Noir and I both got impatient and couldn't wait for a new Gundam 00 or qan[T] to be boughtm so instead we set our eyes on my HG 1/144 Unicorn Destroy Mode on display. I've been wanting to use that one for quite some time now, but I have issues on its knee articulation which was very limited, and not quite suitable for the ultra dynamic action poses that shinki are capable of.

After that, things started moving;

My only real complaint about this setup is that she now towers above all of my shinkis in their custom armors! Laika was supposed to be the tallest, but Noir is now almost a head taller than her. So a lot of modifying is in order...

Removed a lot of plastic off the thighs, and shortened the arms, to better match my other ones. Also did some stuff to the arms to improve posability (didn't have time to do pics, sorry!)

So, here we are as of now...

I left some parts white because I'm still trying to decide on what color to paint 'em with.

Very nice!
I suggest you leave the white parts white, or at least paint them silver. I think they look good.
