It's best if you post them in your own topic in Show and Tell.
On that note, that first picture.... is that a statue of Saber in a black dress or is that some other blonde chick?

Re: New Member Introductions
Not so much an introduction, more like a reintroduction.
Hello, I'm Suture but you can call me Noa. I guess I could say that I'm one of the founding members of this board and fondly remember the plotting for this site back in the TFW2005 Shinki thread and its setting up.
I suppose I could blame Dila for getting me into this, first saw a Shinki in Funness on a Stick in the for of Mao and was amazed with the engineering, stumbled into the Shinki post on TFW's boards and the rest, as they say, is history.
My first Shinki was Ianeria with Benio being the second. Last figure I purchased was Fubuki from the preorder lot that Rey organized so she has that awesome red scarf.
Had to drop the Shinkis when I was out of work for a while but now that I have a stable and well-paying job I can pick up some of the old hobbies a little more. However, coming back and seeing how prices have gone up is a little daunting but I suppose it was bound to happen eventually, especially with how complicated these girls were getting before I had to stop with them.
Anyway, it's good to be back.

Re: New Member Introductions
Hi! I am new here, and don't know what to say.
I am 22 Years old guy from Poland.
And now I got a chance to buy Raptias Busou Shinki cheap.
Is it a good choice? I like the design and color scheme.
When I was a kid, I have been building mostly 1:35 Scale Tanks Models.
Later I started to Play W40k orks.
Now I am in Gunpla only.
So Repainting it will be a 0 problem for me or doing slight adjustment to design.
But is there a possibility to make a Custom/Scratch-build/Kit-bash one?
Sorry for my bad English.

Re: New Member Introductions
Raptias is a great choice, I've been debating getting it myself. Either her, Sharatang, or Pre-Ordering Mary Celes.
As a Gundam fan you'd love Altines/Altrene the originals or the repaints, but they're quite hard to find and pretty expensive. They sold out fast after their initial release.
I'd also Reccommend:
Tigris
Vitulus (Tigris and Vitulus' armor combines and makes a robot form)
Lancemento
Espadia (Lancemento and Espadia's armor combines to make a Giant Beetle or humanoid Robot called Heracles)
Graffias
Vespelio (Graffias and Vespelio's armor combines to make a Dragon)
These ones all feature a combining mode with their armors so you get the girls, the armors, and the combination robot mode. Though a lot of Veteran Shinki collectors rarely use the robot modes, it really depends on if you're collecting Shinki for the cute girls or if you're more into the armored forms. Let me know if you want a place that has good photos of these.
Almost every, though I can't say all Shinki owners eventually wind up getting one version or another of Angel Arnaval and Devil Strarf. Currently there are 3 versions on the Market, the Originals, the Starf Bis and Arnaval Tranch, and recently released Mk.II, in original colors as well as their reversed color repaints. If you're on a budget go for Angel Werkstra or Succubus Valona, they're similar in scheme but lighter armored and easier on the wallet.
I talked to you on Cbox about repainting and Customizing.

There is one on ebay right now, but it is a bit overpriced.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Busou-Shinki-Ltd-Ed ... 500wt_1156
Mandarake has it occasionally for around 2500-3000 yen, you just have to be patient and check consistently.
Have fun and good luck with your search!

Welcome to the site Akelei. And unfortunately the Shinki addiction always starts after getting your first figure.Akelei wrote:Hi there!

Oh and here's a link to a beginner's guide that helps explain some of the confusing intricacies of collecting Busou Shinkis.
Also your Mao pics are great. I really like the leaping-to-attack one. Moar pics pleeeeze.

Enjoy the site and let us know if you have any questions.
