Just a thought, could the tentacles perhaps extend out from underneath those overlapped plates? While it appears they'll be limited in mobility there could be a lot more to them than we can see at this point.

I really hope there's a bit more to Mary's armor, because it's looking really uninteresting so far. But it seems they put their equipment right out there on display... I really hope there's a bit more to see before their release...
