Wave 11 - Altrene + Altine (April Re-release!)

I'm not really a fan of thr Blonde hair, she looks a bit too much like Arnaval.

Anyone think I should paint the hair on mine a different color? If so then what?

I'm thinking pink hair with Green Eyes.

Mate, it's whatever you want to do with her. It's your decision to buy her and mod her - we can only go so far I'm afraid. Altrene is an expensive shinki - do you want to drop that money on a shinki you're not entirely happy with colour-wise, and if you do, can you find something that matches her colour scheme to satisfy you? These are questions only you can answer.

Personally, I didn't want to pick her up because of the links with Arnval so I went for Altines instead and happily paid out the higher price tag. The faces were also a drawcard as well, not just the colour scheme, or the awesomeness...*trails off happily*

Honestly, I wouldn't drop the change on a Shinki (or any other toy) that could end up being quite rare just to change it. For one thing, resell value plummets. If you get bored with Shinkis or get yourself into an abysmal financial situation later in life, you won't be able to sell her. Also, what happens if you mess up? Altrene won't be one of those figures you can just go down to Wal-Mart to pick up another one for $10; she's not expendable. We're talking about an $80+ import figure here.

But, at the end of the day, it's up to you. It's your wallet, and your love for the toy. Just know that many will wonder what you're thinking...

I'm totally in love with the armor design and how it works with the figure, but especially after seeing the Black version with purple hair, I just think that pink would be more fitting.

Just so you know, I never sell ANYTHING, even if I did, I have tons of old rare zoids and Gundams to sell off first. I also restore Transformers figures, I'd pick up some old ones and restore them for some collector who would pay me like 60$+ to see their figure as good as new.

But Back to the topic of Altine, Altrene, or whatever it's supposed to be. The black one is exclusive right? I'm really not a fan of the pigtails but overall I do like the short spikey hair and the black and red. (Though in some of the photos the red on her suit looks more brown.)

Avoid YJA at the moment, because they're selling Altines at three to four times her going rate. I'm horrified actually about how that's turning out.

Interested to see what Konami will do if the repaints of Valona/Werkstra/Asuka/Murmeltier don't sell so well. Not seeing much of them review or model-wise...Surely they would have realized that repaints don't sell quite so well as originals - unless they're Ach XD

According to their information on the Konami Style site they both will be coming with codes for use in Battle Rondo.
