I thought it was about time I posted some pics, since I've got some new acquisitions.

First up, Asuka!



Really not much I can say about Asuka that hasn't already been said. It's really neat how thoughtfully engineered all of her gear is, and how thoroughly she embraces the whole 'Mecha Musume' concept.

Next up, Dengeki Yda!



Yda was a gift to me from a very good friend. I'm frankly flabbergasted how much i like this figure. I LOVE the Dengeki helmet, and the whole look she has going just works so well for her. I'm also amazed that she can actually stand up without her stand.

... No, I won't tell you who gave her to me, because I don't want anyone going and pestering them for Shinkis, or feeling hurt because THEY didn't get such an expensive gift, if they happen to know the person.



Uh oh... I think Ach objects to Yda getting all this attention, when Ach herself hasn't gotten a proper photoshoot.



The only solution? Racing!

i def want a black arnval. not the bis tho, the actual FIRST black repaint of her- its much better looking i think! D < THE ASHEN HAIR IS SO MUCH BETTER (and the black n bis looks odd to me- this one seems more--deep lue?-ish)

Just thought I'd correct a few points here:
It's Arnval Tranche 2 and Strarf Bis (they're not both called Bis)

Also, Arnval Tranche 2 comes with everything Arnval does, and I believe this applies to the Dengeki Arnval Tranche 2 as well, but their bodies have been painted differently to each other (Dark Anval has solid red down the front of her, as pictured, but on Dark Arnval Tranche it's broken up with some black with a little bit more on her legs and some extra detailing in a few other places as well)

sorry. thats what i mean- i really like the first repaint or arnval, even although i prefer tranche as normal version (which i picked up). i cant find it for sale anymore however- at ebay.

Finding her was a fluke. I contacted a Proxy MONTHS ago to find me a 'Black Arnval', and he recently got back to me telling me the local Hobby shot had one. I jumped on it, expecting the Tranche2 version. I was a little surprised to find the Dengeki one.

Not unpleasantly though. I had already been comparing the two, and I did like the ashen/platinum color of the Dengeki's hair more. Plus... the green sabers appealed to me. It just seemed a nice departure from the stereotypical red.

I don't really regret the lack of the Tranche2 parts. It differentiates her from my Angel Arnval, and there was nothing I really disliked about the V1 Arnval design to begin with.

Plus... she's rare here. She came out before Shinkis strongly caught on, and so not a lot were imported to North America. While the Tranche2 repaint pops up on ebay occasionally, I've NEVER seen the Dengeki version. Other Dengekis yes, but not Arnval or Strarf.

Makes her just that extra bit of special.

yes! its true! im so jealous--- i really love her, especially since i didnt even really plan to get an arnval to begin with (damn glad i did) and am now surprised to WANT another- the "retro" charm of the black united to a her future hint as tranche- and her screaming face is a beauty.

Love the Yda repaint, I think she's got one of the best bodies of them all.
