That's a pretty sizable collection you have there, but it probably makes sense because you're a big enough shinki fan to be the moderator! I really liked a lot of the photos you took, especially the ones of them interacting with the environment, like the maochao on the flowers. Cute! You probably have a decently good digital camera and lighting, huh? I just make do with my cell camera and a flashlight. I hope to build a decent indirect lighting rig, eventually, but heh, no money. Got any advice for taking clear, sharp photos like yours?

Oh, and what designer do you like best?

I'm fortunate to have two cameras at my disposal. A Canon Powershot A620 and SD1100 IS Digital ELPH. Both have a manual mode which allows you to adjust settings like ISO speed, exposure, type of lighting, etc. The SD1100 IS also has a digital macro mode that allows for really sharp detail when taken up close.

Having never used a camera phone (don't even own one LOL), my best guess would be to experiment with distance and lighting until you find a nice quality.

Also, here's a link to building your own light box/tent on the cheap. I did it and it works pretty good. :)

Honestly I don't pay much attention to the designers. More to the individual Shinkis. Thus far my preference would be the "industrial" designs like Arnval, Strarf, Werkstra, Valona and Asuka.
