Re: Wave ? - Vic Viper Girls
I dont think anyone's updated that wiki since Battle Rondo got its death notice. (And it was mostly me who did all the work anyways)
Anyways, since I was bored and curious, I went and figured out the two's weapon names.
Vervietta
Large weapon: Gladiator
Smaller weapons: Pilum
Lirbiet
Large weapon: Gladiolus
Smaller weapons: Vericulum
Kind of a cute touch with the large weapon names, if you know anything about the Vic Viper's history.

Re: Wave ? - Vic Viper Girls
Just got these two in.
They're interesting. Quite different from the Shinki norm. The parts count is noticeably lower, but that's because most of the parts are considerably larger and more complex, and more DETAILED. The engines have multiple different types and colors of plastic, and are detailed even inside of the exhaust vents.
The mechs themselves make very nice little fighter jets from all angles, with no obvious robot or other kibble, and make decent transformers, without cheating the transformation at all via partsforming. It would have been nice if more things locked together or pegged together in either mode, but the are definitely the best stand-alone armor sets we've gotten. That being said, they can't actually 'stand alone', as their pointy little feet will not support them.
Vervietta and Lirbiette are both excellent sculpts. They're adorable, with tons of character, excellent paint apps and detail, and thankfully get away from the 'two handkerchiefs and a bit of string' outfits we've been seeing.
The weakest part of the set is, unfortunately, the Shinki armored mode. They're not bad, but the leg armor removes the knee joint, and forces the legs into an eternal 'Strike Witches Spread'. Again, zero chance of being able to stand, and mine have trouble staying together, particularly the backpack connection.
Still, the set as a whole is good enough that I would recommend it.

Yeesh. If only I wallet hadn't given up already...
I'm getting "Cool Big Sis" vibes from Vervietta and Lirbiette definitely works well with a tsundere personality.
...What? I was being wishful, too.

Maybe when they get repaints?Caterwaul wrote:<.< So when are they getting Decepticon logos?

FIle it under 'Better Late then Never',
Shinki Labs has its review of the pair up, finally. While the photos, individually, may not be as good as Yo's, they take a LOT of pics, and show off every detail.

Re: Wave ? - Vic Viper Girls
Does anyone happen to know of a site where they had made new things with the vic viper sets? I have such a creativity block with these sets and i wanna see some other works to possibly find some inspiration. Thanks

Not off the top of my head. I think TFW2005's Shinki thread posted up a bunch of 2ch links to fan mods, but I dont have a direct link to it ATM.
