Thank you very much. It was actually the pictures of your Renge on SS that first got me interested in Shinkis. I've had a lot of fun with the photo shoots I've done so far, and I'm looking forward to doing more!

The weather last week was awful right through Friday night, but fortuitously it turned sunny this weekend. I was fighting a cold one of my coworkers brought in, but was still able to get out and get some photos.

Thank you! I still have a great deal to learn about photography, but I feel I'm making progress, and I enjoy doing the shoots tremendously.

Hello, all! This weekends photos were mostly indoors, since there isn't much outside except dead leaves. I hope you enjoy these, I had a lot of fun taking them!

Michelle with a neat wooden vase I found at The Bank of the Arts in Greeneville, NC:

Some shots of Michelle helping me with a sewing project (I'm retrofitting an old-style ALICE pack with modern Fastex sidelock buckles and attachment points for MOLLE pouches). I'd like to try doing some Shinki clothing at some point after I gain some confidence sewing.

I like these sewing machine photos. It looks like Michelle is in some sort of spaceship a la 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Checking the tension. If you don't have enough tension, everything goes slack, and you end up with a tangled mess. On the other hand, if you have too much tension, you may have a breakdown. Sometimes it's hard to find just the right balance :P

Finally, a couple random outdoor shots. This is not a very inspiring time here for outdoor photography. All the flowers are gone, and the only thing on the ground is dead leaves. But I'll do my best!

Thanks! I think I'm improving. I'm getting more comfortable with indoor shooting, although I still have a lot to learn about managing lighting for indoor shots.

My sewing project is for a pack I use for hiking. I do a lot of hiking, and I like milsurp gear, it's sturdier and less costly than a lot of civilian market stuff. I really like the ALICE layout, but I'd like to be able to attach MOLLE items. For example, I have a camera case that is MOLLE compatible, and I was thinking that a MOLLE rifle case would be ideal for carrying a tripod...

I don't know much about Airsoft, although I do own firearms (owning guns in my state is relatively easy). I've been toying with the idea of doing a photo session of Michelle with some of my guns or reloading equipment.

To me, Katsumi (Fubuki) seems like she would be more quiet, while Evelyn (Strarf) seems like a classic tsundere. I like this picture of them together.

I tried to upload the image file to Flickr and link to it, but Flickr is not playing very nice with the version of Linux I'm using now. Working on it...in the meantime, I'm attaching the jpeg.

Test of ImageShack link.

Ah, that seemed to work. Now all I have to do is figure out how to pry my older photos loose from Flickr...
