Amazing, I didn't think Shinki/Gundam customs could look that good. The ones I had previously seen weren't more than kitbashes.

What scale/kind of Gundam kits/figures do you use?

I use 1:144 HG (High Grade) gunpla parts, since they're closer in size to shinkis. 1:100 are a bit too large, IMO, but some modders do use them. It is a matter of preference. All of my mods do use HG, except for Kei (Espadia) who's leg armor is from a NG (No Grade, limited articulation) Blitz Gundam kit.

Dude you gotta teach us how to attach the other gundam parts to the shinki body. You already showed how to combine gundam parts to the legs but how about the back armor (where we can attach the wings, backpack, etc.) and also the shoulder armor...

I currently have a spare arnval for mod (given to me by a friend) and I dont know how to attach the different gundam parts. I think it would be beneficial if you can create a tutorial for this.

I was uncertain if it was 1/144 or 1/200. Since most of my Gunpla is 1/100 MG, I knew those weren't the ones XD
But I guess some smaller MG kits like F91 or the Wing series could work for bigger armor.

I might hunt down some cheap HGs sometime.

Here are a couple of new custom armor prototypes I'm working on...


Laika with parts from Tallgeese III, Blu Duel's arms and GN-X III legs. The Tallgeese cannon and shield are optional, but I might build a better way to mount them onto the shoulders, especially for that long cannon.


Noir, with 00 Seven Sword's knees and katar, a couple of 0 Raisers and Strike Noir's pistols and striker pack. Again, custom-built connectors are the way for this build.

And Ayu? I'm still pondering on what to do for her custom armor...

Yes there is, and it's an HG too.
I think it'd mix nicely with an Altlene.

Lol, don't have and Extreme Gundam, nor an Altlene (though I WANT her sooooooo much!) .

Now, here are some more custom armor works! (With pics already edited for Shinki Saturday use)


Laika, now fully armored... she's the first one to get a custom shoulder armor set (which is from a Tallgeese III, btw).

Now, here are a the Beetle Girls, and though they might not be as popular as, let's say, the Fencers, I really enjoy working with them, since their armor parts are already fully customizable. I do spend quite some time thinking up different configurations for them.


Rui, now with more and bigger guns! Kotobukiya MSG's rocket launchers would work well with her (will get some when I find 'em around here)...


Kei looks more badass than ever... don't get too close when she's in a bad mood 'cause she'll rip you to shreds with all those blades!


Noir in her latest setup. Her custom armor design just keeps on evolving...

And finally, Ayu...





Ayu's feeling rather smug at the moment this pic was taken, 'cause with Stargazer's leg parts she's now as tall as Maya and Rina (she has a complex about her height ).

Her setup looks very good IMO, and will look better when painted to her color scheme (though I might have a bit of trouble getting that shade of pink). I didn't set her up for front line combat, but rather, as the cute tsundere strategist that tends to order people around (including me )!

Baby Razz, a strategist? I didn't know she even had a strategy other than "Rock the hell out."

Very nice armor, BTW. My only problem is that Ayu's in her underwear instead of her usual getup, which kind of bugs me a bit.

Lol, she is my Baby Razz , and I set her up for comm and strategic support (albeit a very loud one ). Her getup is still a WIP, and even I wouldn't want her fighting in her undies... now if I only had a small MMS3rd in a solid color, maybe white or black... else she'll just end up wearing her usual skirt. In making custom gear, she's actually the one I'm having the most trouble with...

Yeah, I can imagine that Baby Razz is a little harder to work with, since she's wearing actual clothes.
