Wave 11 - Altrene + Altine (April Re-release!)

Altlene GET sometime between 10:30 and 11am EDT, North America.

Parts box is tiny. Handy for the really small stuff, but it's not going to hold much besides hand, spacer, and loose connecters. Just FWIW.

Attaching the armor pieces on her was a smooth and fun process, most of them fit nice and tight. The face is also to be commended for its sculpt, no paint issues(blobs,uneven surfaces) for the hair pieces either, and the eyes look just right, I'd say its about Max Factory's Figma line for attention to facial sculpt and detail.

A few bad points that i personally found slightly disagreeable is the gloss finish and the skinny look of the character's body but that seems to be sort of a trademark for the BS series.

Also, the armor arm bends to a strict 90 degrees and no more due to the upper arm armor piece, and the shoulder armors which should be able to move up is hindered by its connecting hinge that attaches the shoulder armor to the backpack, a design that doesn't give much way with Altlenes long hair, which is slightly disappointing seeing that its more of a design issue rather than one of articulation. The articulation for the leg though, is great, bending close to a full 180 even with the leg armors on since they don't interfere with its joints.

Overall, a very nice figure which i'm quite surprised i've not heard much for a toy line with this level of playability and design. Got mine for 5700 yen, which is around 62USD, still quite expensive compared to my usual investments into Gunplas. So far i've never had any pleasant experiences with similar toys, my EX Gear Alto Saotome and a Gundam Fix figuration Deep Striker(awesome display piece, slight pain to build) immediately comes to mind. All of which requires attaching armor pieces onto a figure so this one comes to me as a first to actually have me enjoying the process itself as well as baffling me with the level of customizability.

I bought this figure with the intention of displaying it rather than playing or constantly customizing it since i'm more of a figure guy than for toys and i don't usually spend $60 for any single toy but this is still a decent toy to be left for display so i personally find my money well spent.

Many might argue with me about whether or not BS should be classified as toy/figure but this is solely my opinion and impressions so bear with me.

Altines comes out in July, but she was a Konami Style Limited Exclusive. People are sellling her (and her Pre-Order they recieved) for starting at least Twenty Thousand Yen, or Two Hundred Dollars about. So be prepared for murderating of your wallet.

On another not: Welcome and Congrats 8787. I do hope you enjoy your stay and inclusion into the Busou Shinki culture. You've come at a fine time where Shinkis are scarce, but their expansion is great. Either way, interact, enjoy as well as staying a while a listening.
