Re: New Member Introductions
Eldar for me. I like how sleek and elegant they look...
Big bulky things have rarely appealed to me (space marines). But I did like the look of the Tao.
Havent played or bought anything new for it for a couple of years now though, but before I stopped, I started making plans for a squad of Eldar Dragon Riders, but didn't even get to finishing the first (was just going to treat them as a Jet Bike/Shining Spear squad though, since dragon riders dont exist anymore)

Allo~. I'm new here (obviously). I come from a background of collecting and repainting/customizing Pinky:St figures, and collecting Ball Jointed Dolls and other cute plasticy crap XD
I've got three Shinkis on the way here, so I'm pretty excited. I don't know if I'll be painting any of them custom colors, we'll see how I get along with them right out of the box for a while first. X3

Pinky:St? In that case, Sonja, once your shinki arrive, maybe you can help me test if Pinky:St hair can fit on Shinki heads (though, I guess that would depend on which Shinki you've ordered, and weather the hair can come off it...)
I'd seen a tutorial on how to modify a Nagato Yuki Figma into a Kyon-ko one, and it involved using the hair from a Pinky:St figure.
Was wondering for possible future cusom jobs.

I think I recall seeing that figma, but to me it seemed like they used epoxy or something along with it. Pinkies are fairly big headed though, and I'm not sure of the size of a Shinki's head yet. I can tell you right now that if they're about the size of a Revoltech's head, then it won't fit (too big). Though pieces like the detachable ponytails could be modded on with something like epoxy. You'd just have to sand off/cut off the stub where it would fit into the hole.
I'll definitely be trying out some things once my girls arrive. X3
I have Valona, Werkstra and Partio on the way. Was originally going to be just the first two, but I couldn't pass up a cute little ferret, and she was on sale (Sorry for jacking the price up to the normal one on that auction again, anyone who was looking for her XD).

Re: New Member Introductions
Ah, I've not had much success making anything any decent with epoxy, so was looking for an alternate.
I just thought to have a look, and Howling's head is quite a bit bigger than Fate's (figma) head, so it's probably not gonna fit is it? (unless the Haruhi Suzumiya figmas have bigger heads than the nanoha ones, which seems unlikely)
I guess if I do decide to make a cusom shinki, I'll just have to practice with the epoxy some more first.

Re: New Member Introductions
I'm thinking some of the parts might be salvagable. I'll let you know once my girls come in. Two are coming from HLJ, so they'll be about 12 days (they shipped two days ago, it typically takes 14 days for me to receive items via SAL) and one's coming from eBay.
Chances are some pinky accessories might be compatible with them. Pinky:St have much bigger heads than Revoltech, and I'm not sure how they size up to Figma. Pinky hair is about twice the size of revoltech hair.
Oooh, I hate waiting for things once they've already shipped.

Re: New Member Introductions
I'm Crowthor and I'm not realy sure how I got into shinki's, I think it may have been from a deviant art search-I know I stumbled across some fanart before I discovered there was a toyline and then I discovered there was an online game to go with it- Its like someone decided to find out my favourite things and cram them all into one package ^^ its like the character customization from soul calibuer 4 but with a rpg game and a purpose.
hmm a bit about me, well I am obsessive with rpg games both on and off the computer , I am tenacious in the extreme ( though I imagine everyone here is, you wouldn't have been able to register a kanomai ID if you wern't
), I wear a leather coat all year round because I'm off balance if I'm out walking without it and I'm a polite and friendly indervidual most of the time.

From Toa to Shinki
The name's Tahu Metru13, a former Bionicle fanatic, hence my name. I got into Busou Shinkies after watching a bunch of plamoo's vids on Youtube, and eventually I wanted Asuka for myself. After being around the site as a guest, my interest in Shinkies grew to the point of its current obsession, at least equal to my current like of Gunpla. Let's see...
I frequent sevral online video games, including RPGs like Phantasy Star Universe and shooters like Team Fortress 2, and I hope to add Busou Shinki Battle Rondo to that roster some day.

Now where did I put that Kanoka disk?
