I'll repeat this just to stave off any newer visitors to this post having an incorrect belief:

These shinki are not designs by Amber. Amber did customs of an old design Fumikane drew up back in '08, which were made into resin kits. It's just that now, for some reason, Konami has decided to make an official release.

This means that they couldn't have used the names Odette and Odile, as I believe those were names Amber gave them herself.

Yeah, I read that. I meant if Amber felt upset about it at all, they probably resolved it professionally. But they weren't her designs, they're Fumikane's, so it's not work stolen from Amber (unless they took the kit and sculpted over it, but it's still their IP).

I don't think it's really any different than anyone who makes custom figma or revoltechs or gundam kits of characters, and then an official release comes out. It doesn't devalue the custom any...

Their faces are rather boring though, especially the black one. She looks miserable. Either way, light armor types are my fav and I'd definitely get them both.
