Whilst I'm updating with gossip within the new Shinki thread, might as well add some gossip here.
Even though it's kinda meant tongue-in-cheek, a few people in Japan think Altines maybe possibly be...

I hope so; I mean, it's going to happen sooner or later...Surely...
I don't think Altines looks really shota, but there's definitely potential.
Well, most people are just treating it as a joke for now...But I think it's lingering at the back of their minds--!

aa, I'm afraid Altines had me wrapped around her little finger the moment she made that face at me.
*ahem*... Besides this, that armor design looks quite nifty, and I really dig that boots/gloves/choker set she's wearing.

I guess I know what's going on my wishlist for next year = ^ w ^ =;;

I have a hard time believing any Shinki would be a trap. They'd have to redo the entire body of the figure for it when the Shinki isnt in armor, and I doubt they'd go to that extreme for one fig. If they ever expanded the MMS line to male figs, maybe...

The current MMS body is fine-- Hence the gossip.
That's why they'd be a trap. It doesn't work so well if they're all masculine or whatever.

In lots of eromanga things like bulges will just be omitted until the moment of revealing.
Well, like I said, it's meant more tongue-in-cheek than anything else.
But it's a possibility. If it is a he it'd be very, very awesome.

Eh, more in the fact that the chest and body is obviously female. They do tend to emphasise a more feminine set of curves with lots of traps, but it's hard to hide the fact the default MMS body has boobs, even the 3rd Small bodies.

These things are so easy to put as
[1. Sensible]Padding for battle
[2. Cute] Padding for the sake of having breast pads-->Rather; so he can look more feminine

It's always so easy to cover up this sort of thing.
At the end of the day, if the company/designer says "It's a boy"; you have to start applying this sort of logic, no?

Atrenes is a May release. Altines we're still waiting on a date.

While I don't dispute that (especially in anime) you can get some male bodies that are very, *very* convincingly feminine...
I'd be in doubt too about the appearance of a male shinki, if nothing else because of the thematics of the line. Altines in particular, looks pretty female to me -

Naturally, it is important to point out that the MMS figure doesn't *have* to have breasts; the interchangeable bust part means you can stick any part that's compatible on there. Heck, some of the chest armors are flattened down enough that it makes me wonder if it wouldn't be uncomfortable for the poor girl to get her assets stuffed down under them. That said, Altines looks well-enough endowed to me that she wouldn't be the first I'd peg for it.

Not that I've anything against such things. I'm not gonna go actively *asking* for a shinki that's a boy (or at least has a male body), but I wouldn't complain if it happened. Not even mentioning the slew of anime/game characters who are in the situation for whatever reason, I myself happen to know a couple real-life people that publicly appear to be female, are very pretty and nice, and happen to be saddled with male anatomy.

Incidentally, I don't suppose there's been any word on whether Altines' complete equipment set is going to be completely just an Altrene recolor or not? I'd feel bad picking up two of the same, but I'll admit they both look so very pretty...
