Oh! And this same red plastic would be a bugger to paint. I still haven't got round to fixing my Breaker :x
Actually, I was referring to Deantler (I think that was the name) and Laser/Scissor Storm. Possibly Styluarmor, but I don't remember hearing anything about it. They WERE all parts of a set, though, with the same red plastic, so it's possible.
Deantler, the storm twins, Seismo, red matrix dragon, Stylu, AND some runs of hasbro breaker.

Back on topic, mine come tomorrow. thanks for foot warning, i shall be paranoid

I'm already paranoid of breaking those I have. Don't remind me of breakage paranoia! Just waiting for my Renge to arrive is bad enough! :ach:

I know exactly what IG is talking about. I haven't heard of any breakage problems with Maochao and Howling, but I still treat them as though they were plastic models.

Hooray she's here! Renge is here and she's not cold 'n stiff! :schmetterling:

But what's this? :maochao:
I don't recall HLJ.com saying they'd gotten these extra parts.
This is even better! :schmetterling:

Maybe I should spring for Gabline as well...

Well, chalk another up to the Gabrine snapped ankle club. I gently worked the ankle back and forth, and... *SNAP*

I think I can see the problem. The foot is actually made of a rubbery plastic... the same sort of stuff used in Kotobukyia polycap joints. That THEORETICALLY would allow for smooth movement. But the plastic is more rubbery when warm, firstly, and secondly the ball joints have mold flash on them that was not properly ground off. They were put together warm, and the flash dug into the soft foot plastic, which firmed up around it.

I avoided snapping the other ankle by soaking it in hot water, until the foot was softened, then working it gently free.

The other ankle I've made my first attempt at drilling and pinning a joint. I drilled a small hole into the balljoint and the stump of her ankle, and used modelling cement and a length of twist tie (Reasoning the cement would adhere well to the rubbery coating on a twist tie). I don't expect to retain much ankle movement, but it'll hopefully keep the foot on

But she's just LOADED with character, and is just too damn adorable to be mad at for having gimped accessories. She's made it clear she intends to chill on my desk with MP Grimlock and the other 'epic' toys until I get around to using her in the comic.

Thanks to everyone else's sacrifices to Gabrine, mine managed to survive unscathed. Upon getting her out of the box I took her feet and ran them under hot water, let them soak a while then ran them under hot water while just barely wiggling the feet and they came loose and now work just fine. Sad to see so many people had theirs break but I'm glad to have known about it before jumping into things. Gabrine's feet aren't just an isolated incident.

moa and howling have different ankle joints, and they kinda are plastic models, my moa's large arms sag alot even with the spaces in them and her claws always fall off!

Ren..ge???? who's that??? :schmetterling:

As for the extra parts, you get them if you pre-ordered the figures from the Konamistyle webstore; which is apparently where HLJ or amiami ordered from since you get them with their preorders. They are clear weapons in red & blue from both Renge and Gabrine.

Yeah I picked up both. I'm gonna try Polenicus' idea with the warm water to loosen up Gabrine's armored feet so hopefully they won't break.

I already knew these 'extra parts' existed, but I was unsure of how to acquire them...
'First come first served' I believe applies in this case...
