Just got these two in.
They're interesting. Quite different from the Shinki norm. The parts count is noticeably lower, but that's because most of the parts are considerably larger and more complex, and more DETAILED. The engines have multiple different types and colors of plastic, and are detailed even inside of the exhaust vents.
The mechs themselves make very nice little fighter jets from all angles, with no obvious robot or other kibble, and make decent transformers, without cheating the transformation at all via partsforming. It would have been nice if more things locked together or pegged together in either mode, but the are definitely the best stand-alone armor sets we've gotten. That being said, they can't actually 'stand alone', as their pointy little feet will not support them.
Vervietta and Lirbiette are both excellent sculpts. They're adorable, with tons of character, excellent paint apps and detail, and thankfully get away from the 'two handkerchiefs and a bit of string' outfits we've been seeing.
The weakest part of the set is, unfortunately, the Shinki armored mode. They're not bad, but the leg armor removes the knee joint, and forces the legs into an eternal 'Strike Witches Spread'. Again, zero chance of being able to stand, and mine have trouble staying together, particularly the backpack connection.
Still, the set as a whole is good enough that I would recommend it.
