Wow. That's looking great. Do you have a type in mind for it?

You know, I haven't really given much thought to the type yet, but if the prototype ends up with the combat knives on the limbs, I'll probably have it as Type Butterfly Knife or so. Maybe the armor name can be something like Valison (derived from Balisong, the Philippine butterfly knife). Whatcha think?

Molds will be a must since I need them to create the right Leg, shoulder, booster, etc armor, I've designed it so the parts are symmetrical and interchangeable between right and left.Xenosnake wrote:Aye we need mass production! +_+
I want to mass produce them and share with the world if there's a chance (and demand, LOL)

Unfortunately, you seem to be making this armor MMS 1st compatible... MMS 1st bodies are a pain in the rear to get a hold of. MMS 3rds are just a matter of paying a guy on eBay $30 + shipping or so, but 1sts need to be found first, and that's not very easy at all. Otherwise, I'd be asking you where to send money!

Re: 100% Original Shinki Part sculpts
Very true indeed. Although with regard to the incompatibility problem, so far only the chest armor needs further modification for MMS 3rd bodies. That soft-rubber wrap-around technology for MMS 3rd chest armor is a pain to translate into a system consisting of stiff materials, so I decided to tackle type 1's first. Though I think it'll only be a matter of time until I make a successful prototype
I might also reduce the "chest" size for the 3rd type armor... unless there's a market for lolis with healthily-sized... endowments.

There's a compatibility part for the 3rd bodies that lets them wear 1st body chests...but it usually looks wierd because the proportions are off. That or start playing around with latex molds.

I might have to resort to this, or maybe make use of other materials (nylon/fiber optic material as back/front connectors). Latex is good generally but at that thinness, I think it'll be too floppy.Caterwaul wrote:There's a compatibility part for the 3rd bodies that lets them wear 1st body chests...but it usually looks wierd because the proportions are off. In any case, I'll need a 3rd-type body for experimentation...... Oh Partiooooo, where are youuu?

Re: 100% Original Shinki Part sculpts
What materials are you looking into when it comes to the production model?
Resin seems to be the more available option, since you can get full kits that include materials for making the moulds, though I'm not sure what the costs will end up looking like in that case... Also wouldn't work for the MMS3rd chests, and might be a bit fragile... Hmm... Well, it's a thought...
I was going to ask if you'd thought about attaching the leg armour like how most shinki do (Arnval, Werkstra, Howling, Waffebunny) But then I saw you were making them symmetrical so they could fit on either leg... And doing it that way would not only mean you'd have to make them twice (one for each leg) but they'd also only work for MMS1...
Lastly: Big bust wont look odd on MMS3rd Tall bodies, just the small...
