For discussion of all the other girl+mecha lines that have cropped up since Shinki began: Frame Arms: Girls, Megami Device, Armor Girls Project, Desktop Army, etc. This includes kinda-sortas like Daibadi's Polynian and things like Strike Witches and Fumikane's original Mecha Musume.

Hopefully it'll be complementary, like the COMPOSITE Haruhi figures, which are the bunnygirl versions Max Factory never released. Not "which one to get?", but "they're different, gotta get both!". Better for both companies.

Better for both companies, bad for our wallet ^^;; LOLs.
On a side note: Has anyone tries the Composite Haruhi with Figma Haruhi? I could've swear that Figma's head IS compatible with Composites.

The armour works well with any figma that fits the physical limitations of it - i.e. slim enough ankles/calves to fit into the boot sections (if you want to fully close them), no big hair that would interfere with the back/head parts, and no other extraneous bits sticking out, or giant rigid skirts, etc, that'll clash with any other parts of it.
As for headswaps, the pegs aren't quite perfectly compatible (IIRC the composite pegs are slightly smaller), but they're close enough that you can make it work either way by swapping joints around (might need some padding to prevent wobbliness, though).

Loose pegs can always be fixed with PVC film
I wish figma were like the COMPOSITE figures... They have way better articulation, and are ungodly alike

Meanwhile,
someone mentioned on MFC that Laura was confirmed as the next IS figure.
I want to believe, but with nothing but an otherwise innocuous comment posted on April 1st to go on... I'm skeptical.
Oh man~ There' no picture yet... =_=;;

Also, that scan tells us that another one other than the Dendrobium one is coming, named Hime=Scarlet. Any idea which Mobile Suit she is?
As a matter of fact...

Scans like that have been going on for a long time actually, that isn't a sign that they're coming out with a zee zulu. The magazine just does that for a lot of MS.
