I've run into an issue with my collection that I REALLY should have foreseen, as a longtme Transformer collector...namely, storage of the boxes.
What I want to ask you all is how essential ARE they actually? I've seen that a few of you store the girls' parts in sorting cases and the like...so, is there any reason to hang onto the boxes and try and find storage space for them?

Re: Shinki box storage issues
I keep all my figure boxes in the case that I need to move and I need a safe place to put my figures in. If you don't think you'll need the boxes for any purpose, throw them out and sort the parts into things like bead boxes or tackle boxes. What's typical of Japanese collectors is to throw out the plastic blister packs and keep the boxes themselves to keep the illustrations on the box. In the end, it's all up to you.
If you have a box for a Valona, I'd like to take that off of you, however.

Re: Shinki box storage issues
Me personally I keep the boxes for the illustrations as well as for sorting everything, I think the blisters protect the figures better than if I were to buy a box to dump the parts together into. Plus I'd be able to sell them back as close to new as possible (assuming I'll have to sell them someday)

I throw out the trays, but keep the boxes. They fold up for storage. My Shinkis get stored in a portable, plastic 'parts' tray that latches shut.
