Hi,
I got today my BS Benio, and I have been having a huge problem trying to set the side parts that goes on the waist, they just don't fit at all ... and one of the legs falls all the time when I put the blue part (I guess is like a trouser thingie) ... is this normal or I just got a fake one? (it was a gift)
Thanks

As far as I know, there haven't been any Shinkis that have been bootlegged. So 99% sure it is a legit figure. As for the problems, it has been known that Benio and her wave mate Xiphos sometimes have problems with their armor. Mine happen to be fine so it sounds like you just got unlucky. There may be some fixes that can help you out. For the blue leg part, a very thin coat of clear nail polish on the inside opening of the afflicted blue part may help it to stay on. Don't put it on Benio's leg peg or you will have difficulty reattaching her leg together. As for the waist piece it is a soft rubber so maybe gently heating the part that goes over the two halves to keep the front and rear parts might help. It is a very snug fit and if I remember correctly, it was difficult to attach the first time on my figures. Hope this helps and good luck.

To be completely frank, Benio's armor is crap. Even for an early Shinki, her armor and attachments are EXTREMELY touchy and will fall apart with a glance. It's the main reason I keep her in light armor mode and dont bother with attaching the swords to her waist. They dont really fit.

I hate to agree with Caterwaul's sentiments, but as much as I love Benio as a character and as a concept, her armor is so riddled with problems it isn't even funny. Owning both her and Xiphos, I can honestly say that Benio got the short end of the stick. Both of them have their problems, but Benio's stick out a whole lot more. That said, it is possible to get her looking great; it just takes a lot of work.

Thanks a lot for your answer and tips how to keep Benio in her armour, the truth is that I gave up on it and I just keep her sitting near my laptop with Maochao ... I think she is cute, love her eyes and the armour is really beautiful as concept, but no to build it ...
Thanks again

Coincidentally, I recently made the MG Full Armor Gundam, which has pretty much the exact same problem. Just be glad the majority of the armor on your shinki doesn't go on with slices of a a s****y adhesive plastic rubber strip thing. Another coincidence is that my Fullarmor's second worst offender for that is also the two parts that attatch to the sides of its "Skirt." The largest offender was these four small parts that attached to the sides of the knees, but they were so insignifigant and simply wouldn't stay on, so I just said "Screw it" and kept them in the box. I feel your pain!

*hugs*
Is sad cuz the whole idea is to show them with the armours, but well wth ... as you I have them in the box and I just put the parts for the legs ... sorry that you had a problem too. And I just don't want to try to "fix it", because I know how good I'm breaking things xD
