I'm on a hunt for Partio, Pomock and Schmetterling again. I had Pomock and Schmetterling ordered through ToysLogic but they canceled after processing my order for 2 weeks. <_<

Anyone know where I can find Partio for a decent price?

I got my Partio from BBTS for around $36 bucks, and short of eBay that's the best price I could find for her before including shipping (BBTS is based out of Minesota I think, so it was only inside the states that shipping was charged and it was much less than from Japan).

What confuses me is just why Partio is the more expensive of the wave when it's Pomock who seems to have the slightly more expensive toolings (example: Partio's full armor arm blades are perfect copies of each other, but Pomock's arm guns are NOT; one looks like a mini-shotgun and the other some kind of revolver)

I wish ToysLogic would update their site. About 6-8 months ago, I was going to buy some shinkis from them (I was interested in Vitulus, Werkstra, Harmony Grace, and Valona). A buddy of mine said he knew one of the owners so I decided I would drive to their store since it was about an hour drive for me. Plus I would save on shipping. Despite what was shown in stock on the website and in their computers, the only shinkis they could find was Valona, Pomock, and 1 Grapapp. I ended up getting Valona & Pomock; I already had Grapapp. I don't know if the figures were misplaced, lost, stolen or whatever, but I feel they should at least update their inventory and make sure that they actually have product to sell when showing it on their website.

Thanks, I'll check them out and hope I get lucky. I don't really get why Partio is more expensive either, but I'd like to get both of them regardless.

I'm considering tracking down a proto-Partio and Kohiru, but for the life of me I can't justify the price tags (Partio would have to come from y!J, and seeing as I already have her mass produced little sister...I mean, she's my favourite and all, but...I don't know...) nor can I find the space for them. Almost everything's back in a box right now!

Kohiru's naughty face and colouration has me amused...but the price, I don't know. I don't know if I really want her or no, and I'd rather wait on the next round of MMS3rd lite versions of the ninetales and the hellhound :x

EDIT: And goddamnit, I should not have looked at the alternate Valona painted one. She is way, way out of my league, and I hated the new 'outfit' (can you call it that?) but she, like Kohiru, is growing on me. WRRRYYY?

I may as well order her through the proxy that's handling Altines, along with Proto!Partio.

Wow, I didn't know they were that bad. Fortunately I don't really plan on buying much from them in the future.

BBTS does have sales from time to time and you can sometimes find Pomock/Partio for a little under $30. THey are a great online store and I've dealt with them a number of times.

the difference between the shotgun & revolver on Pomock really wouldn't affect the price at all. The only thing that would be affected would be the time it took to design and engineer the molds to make the parts. Both the guns and the blades use about the same amount of plastic so it wouldn't affect the price at all. Actually I think Partio is just more popular and probably more difficult to find and thus reflects in her price.

As an update to my last post, wherein I passed on Harmony Grace for a cheap Figma Drossel:

Drossel was a trap. I am now the proud (?) owner of a Fegmuh Dorsel. Should have gone for Harmony. This might be some kind of divine karma. When I do pick up Harmony (looks like much later with the other stuff I have coming up...) I think I might actually erect a shrine for her to preside over. Maybe even start confessing...

Of course, Dorsel isn't all bad... A knock-off of an awesome figure still makes for a pretty sweet toy...
