Hello everyone =)
I'm extremely new to this whole scene, but I saw a Shinki in my friend's collection... and I was floored.
I usually collect Gundam figures, and I was lucky enough to get my hands on some of the SCM Ex Figure line. So, yeah. Cool.
More on-topic... I have not been able to find any decently priced Shinkis that I actually like, which is unfortunate.
In case anyone is reading and wondering what I'm after, here it is:
Arnval Mk.2 Tempestra
Proxima
Harmony Grace
...and there was this pink haired one that was wearing some kind of tank-like armor. It was amazing.
Anywho, yeah. I'm going to stop rambling =)

Welcome, p0etiq! Glad to have new members on board.
Yeah, Murmeltier is considered one of the legendary-grade shinkis around in terms of rarity. I myself have been hunting for years...
(Well, there is a certain someone who owns a platoon of them and is now downsizing his collection as we speak... )

I have actually been informed in no uncertain terms that should I, for whatever reason, decide to part with my Murmeltier, she is spoken for.
Never would have thought when I got mine that there would be a LINE for her.
Of course, she's a major character in my comic, so nyah, not selling! :p

*points to Mikuo*
The hoarder has decided to part with some of his Murms, so you can at least get some there

I go by Prospect, and have had a long time infatuation with Mecha girls. The closest rendition of what I like most would be CAST girls from Phantasy Star Universe.
I have also enjoyed Zoids and Various Gundam Series, mostly anything synthetic and mech esque.
I have always loved playing with action figures and for some reason never bothered to look at /toy/ until yesterday, I never knew it existed. I often browse /f/ and really enjoy Miku as I'm sure most here do.
Without getting to the second page of threads something caught my attention,
some anon posted "Got some new clothes for my Shinki today."
I immediately began searching trying to find out what a shinki could possibly be and where to get one.
That said I came here, I checked some of the newbie threads "where to buy" and the "so you want to get a shinki" thread.
Since yesterday I have thoroughly searched the majority of the recommended sites and more to find reasonably low priced Shinki's and site's that seemed remotely trustworthy.
Along with this intro I also would like to ask anyone willing to help to from a sort of partnership with me, to help me get started and sort of show me the ropes about this hobby. These are some expensive little beauties and I want to make sure I don't get ripped off, damaged goods, etc.
Send me a message or email if you are interested.

Probably easier to just ask the question, honestly.
We're working on a FAQ for just this reason, but it's going to be a bit before it's in presentable form. In the meantime, we've got a bunch of people with experience in buy and tracking down Shinkis, so the more the merrier, right?
