To tell the truth when I first saw the Busou Shinki back in 2006-2008 on some /a/ or /toy/ thread I knew I must have some of them join me. Took me a few years to finally meet the girls I have with me now :D (I'm thinking of asking that branch of ToG near my place to help me bring in Pomock and another jointed robot girl figure I just saw recently on /toy/, since they offered to help me bring in stuff I want.)

Um... just so you know... the rules of the Show & Tell section specifies that your thread must contain photos of Shinki only. All photos of your other toys have to be posted in the Other Toys section.

Whoops. How do I move them?

In the meantime, I'm messing around with Arnval and my cheap old camera.

D20 included because she seems to like it.

For a new year, a new post :D

Image
I discovered Figma II balljointed hands (using the balljoint wrist configuration that was introduced with Miku 2.0 and used in most of the newer Figma) work with Shinki MMS1 wrists :D

I hope they work with MMS3 wrists as well. Anyways Arnval's sporting new hands! (These ones are spares from a Miku EVO MIRAI biker figma, since I ended up with duplicates of her by accident)

Image
Tried putting my Valona in a pink frilly number from Kotobukiya (From Cu-Poche Anne). It really fits, but I feel that it's a little short for MMS1 and MMS3 Tall shinki(Should try it with a MMS3 Small shinki next).

Nice shots. I like the one of Valona in her dress.

I actually took over 20 shots, but reject most of them because my cheapo Samsung T-40 point-n-shoot couldn't focus well at extreme closeups. It might be time to upgrade my camera.

If you decide to get a DSLR camera that takes different lenses, I've found a macro lens is a great help for figure photography. Some midrange fixed lens cameras also have a macro setting that works pretty well.

Zielbellen showing off her new secondary body (a pico neemo (Small) 2.0 body) with a nice change of clothing. I've put her combat-mode head on her main shinki body so she's now 'twins' with herself :D

Image
Lirbiete showing off her new twintails (taken from a pico neemo Custom Lily who came with extra twintails and balljoints for them). She's my oldest shinki and I've had to give her chestplate a protective coat of clear nail polish because the harsh Singaporean climate wasn't kind to the paint on her chestplate. Now it's kinda shiny like actual armor, hahaha.

Maochao has joined my number some time ago, but I never got around to taking pictures of her. Also in picture: a crude chair I made from 20 gauge beadcraft wire with 'canopy' of duct tape. Sometimes you just need to make your furniture on a budget :D (time to train my crafting skills, hahaha)

Image
I got her kitted out with some Figma hands that match her cream casing colour nicely too.

Image
Got her posing a little more casually on the chair too.
