...yeah. That's a distinct possibility.
I like it when shinkis make new friends with huge muscular characters. The best

He's a very photogenic figure, and he and Renge make a fun pairing.

There were some pics of Nagi and Metroplex that I took last year that didn't quite come out, but I'm thinking of trying again once I'm done with the spring cleaning.

I haven't forgotten my Shinkis...far from it actually, but as they're in the process of moving to their new shelves, they've not been wanting to pose for me. I DID manage to snap this quick shot of Karasu meeting her wave-sister, though...
Image
...er...they actually get a long really well normally, I swear!

…Fubuki got roller skates !?

Yes, it's just a friendly sparring. :)

I KNOW, RIGHT? Why didn't anyone TELL us this! They don't actually roll, but it's still GREAT! I'm gonna have her skating around in the background of shots from now on.

I have a bit of insomnia this morning, so I took a couple of shots of my crew:
Image
1) Razz and Kitsu lounging about, waving "good morning” to Clover.
Image
2) “Officer” Howling watches Medabot Sanjuro doing morning katas with the Type 2 ninjas, Karasu and Nobi, and contemplates asking to join in.
Image
3) Mary-Anne, Violet, and two of the Mini-Drossels (and one of Howling’s ever-nosy drones) make use of the “desktop beach scene” I bought last year to take advantage of the first sunny morning we’ve had since last week. After living 30 years in San Diego before moving out here to the Four Corners, I kinda miss the beach, and since Mary’s a mermaid-type now stuck in the Rocky Mountains, she can relate. Meanwhile, Violet is the only one who can make use of the “Arnval beach-armor” body I impulse bought last year, so she’s making the most of it.

Side note: my son decided that, since my Merienda's bonus chest piece has a tied-on top, along with her blonde hair and friendly demeanor, she was likely a "Southern belle" type; me, being a huge fan of "Futurama" and unable to resist a veiled reference to "the lost undersea city of Atlanta," agreed.

EDIT: And I am a dumbass...Merienda is the Spoon maid, not the MERmaid.

Thus, Mary-Anne.

Also, one I forgot to post from the Clover review of her and Renge having a tiny sass-off.

So, I managed to snag one of the little-known MMS 2nd’s,“Special Operations Lady” SWAT type, on Noppin for dirt cheap at the beginning of the month and it just arrived yesterday.
Image
I’ll take some pics of her full components (I keep raving about Nagi’s 1/12th scale X-Station game console and controller, and the SWAT lady comes with a 1/12th scale Zippo lighter and carton of cigarettes! INSANE!), but the real reason I got her was to use her parts to modify “Officer” Howling (as gratuitously ripped off from...er, I mean "inspired by" Avalon Jane’s pics over at MyFigureCollection.net).
Image
Image
It turns out “Buyer Beware” was in effect, since the top part of her pants has a deep tear on the right hip, but the rest came through intact. The resulting look actually isn’t bad, and the gap created by the belt no longer holding the pants up provides a place to stow her regular nightsticks, something her original gear doesn’t even have. I also really dig the additional tilted gripping hand for the sniper rifle, because it also makes for a really dramatic look when holding a nightstick, too.
Image
Image
I know Howling is one of the “comic relief” Shinkis...in the anime, she was one of the “wacky neighbors” and every line of hers was a dog-based pun...but between the nightsticks, huge cannon, and the hairdo that always reminds me of Major Motoko from “Ghost in The Shell,” I wanted to make mine a little more badass.
Image
Thanks again to Avalon Jane for the inspiration!

…and, by coincidence, today the last of the ninja girls, Fubuki Type 1, arrived. She’s a little rough around the edges…literally, there’s some bad scuffing on several of her armor pieces…but, as you can see, Kitsu is overjoyed to have her Suni back in her arms again.

Poor, repressed little Karasu. Don’t worry, it’ll all make sense someday.

A non-embellished version of the ninja girls (plus Renge) assembled; the joke version is in my "Comics" thread.

Clockwise from middle: Karasu, Suni, Renge, Nobi, and Kitsu
