Well it was a bit too early to intro Charlotte like this, but I finally got my second Shinki.

Charlotte instantly made for the bubble wrap even as I tried to open it. She also complained that she didn't come in it.

And the activation. I was hoping to do some snow scenes since that was the weather forecast, but now it's just a miserable winter. Therefore, wanting to spite that and considering Juvisy's themes, I settled on naming her 'Natsume.'

Charlotte was amused by Natsume's equipment in general. Perhaps too amused. My feelings about her initial colors didn't help much either. However, we're working on a new color scheme for her, I have paint enamel/primer, so once the weather gets better, that'll happen.

In the meanwhile, Natsume gets to be a full redhead, and without that silly crown.

And for now on, I'm sticking to directly uploading photos. These huge ones from photobucket are terrifying.

Are you using a toaster to take your pictures? Hope you like Juvisy enough to warrant her price.

1: If you are referring to a piece of crap tracfone phone camera, than yes, I am using a toaster. :P

2: Natsume I got for a song at thirty bucks including shipping. Shinki NEVER come that cheap, even without shipping!

Wow.. You seem like a real nice person.

And to Mobius, thanks for showing a pic with what you did with Juvicy's hair. When you can, get some more detailed shots so I can plan my revisions to mine. I'm glad your Juvicy got there quickly. I am still waiting on some I bought back in November .( Tigris and Vitulus)

Keep it up!

For you kind sir, not a problem. Found my old camera, only to discover that it's busted, so for now I literally have no other choice but to stick with the phone camera so I apologize.

Note that rounded area on the front of the hair - I used clay to clog up the hole left by snipping out the crown with my clippers and painted it over with Tamiya red. It's not perfect, but it's easily ignorable even like this. I'll probably try to eventually smooth it out more to give Natsume a nicer finish.

Hope you find a better camera option soon. At that price, worth it in my eyes too. I usually see people buying her up for 60+ which I can't help but look at and laugh.

Ditto to both. I personally picked up Natsume off of Angolz, shipping was murder as one would expect, but when it added up to 30, I'm not complaining. Holister, if I may ask, where'd you pick up the two you're waiting for?

The evil money sapping entity known as Ebay.. The seller has a flawless record, and has been very helpful thus far.. I will make sure to get insured shipping in the future though.. He has been willing to refund my money if they don't show up, so I don't really feel like I'm being scammed.

That being said, I ordered my Juvicy on Ebay and had no issues...

This is why I usually avoid Ebay like the plague. That and any one Shinki that I try to bid on apparently has some sort of automated bidder against me, raising the stakes fifty cents to a dollar higher every time >>

As a status update, Natsume's recoloring is proving to be somewhat difficult, I want to get her nice and done before I upload any pictures.

I know about the risks of ebay, and yeah, that was someone's autobid outbidding you. Basically you put the highest amount you want to pay and everytime someone else bids it outbids them by a few cents until your limit is reached. Takes a few seconds though, so these folks don't always win last second bidding.

Also, I HIGHLY recommend VHT vinyl dye.. (BTW, this is just a site I saw that had a color chart.)

http://www.tcpglobal.com/spraypaintdepo ... PAodHCAAXw

There are lots of color choices, and it is extremely durable. No primer needed and bonds hardcore with plastic. They have a few decent base colors to work with too. I was tired of "plastic" paint and paints that required primer and would then still flake off or just look crappy.. This coats real evenly, and can be resprayed several times to even the color with little possibility of runs..

I'm even repainting LEGOS with it with decent success (it scrapes a little where it pegs, but overall good)
