Re: kintaro's shinkis
So I decided to get back into plamo ("getting back" might be too strong a word as I only built a few aircraft models long time ago). I love TSFs from Muv-Luv Unlimited/Alternative universe, so that is what I am going to be building.
It didn't take my girls long to notice a big box on the desk.
"Master..."
"Master..."
"Pretty obvious what you're after, huh. What are you, some weapon-obsessed Strarfs?"
And so it began...
"Done!"
1 step down, 57 to go...
To be continued...

Re: kintaro's shinkis
Didn't know there were Muv-Luv kits! What scale?
Re: kintaro's shinkis
There are quite a few, most came out even before the anime: http://main.kotobukiya.co.jp/pkOthers_mblv/#cat-02.Shiaoran wrote:Didn't know there were Muv-Luv kits! What scale?
Officially it is "non-scale", but I'd say it's close to 1/100 (there are also a few 1/144 kits but they are not as detailed).

Re: kintaro's shinkis
Thanks.
I hope the 1/144 ones are "good enough", that scale haunts me forever and now there are too many awesome things on it that makes it a main scale for me, pretty much like how 1/12 became a standard.

Re: kintaro's shinkis
tell your girl to beware of clear part, some of them is easily break such as front skirt.
I also have 2 non scale, Takemikaduchi and Shiranui 2nd
it has some problem about joint loose, because of too much action.

Re: kintaro's shinkis
Nice. Is that a repainted Demonstrator Color Shiranui? (maybe we should continue this in the plamo thread?)bang04 wrote:

Re: kintaro's shinkis
57 steps later. (Not "done" yet, still need to polish off some nub marks, maybe weld some seams, paint details and maybe topcoat).
Girls are checking out the TSF.
"No, Greta, you can't ride it."
Kureha got her weapons. Kind of.
"See? Not really your size. I guess only an actual Strarf with her huge battle arms could wield this one."
"Master, can I try this? I can hold it."
"Uh, yeah, you can try it. Let's set up a target in your training area and see what happens..."

Re: kintaro's shinkis
So Kureha really wanted to try out Takemikazuchi's Assault Cannon and I set up a target for her.
"Okay, Kureha, take your position. Everybody else, TAKE COVER."
"Master, permission to fire?"
"You may fire when ready. Single round, remember?"
"Kureha, meet Recoil. Recoil, meet Kureha. Now you know why this thing is called a cannon..."
"Hey, are you okay?"
"Can you stand?"
"Here, take my hand!"
"Are you hurt anywhere?"
"Thank you, but I'm not made of glass, you know. I just fell, that's all."
"Master, it appears that this weapon is not suitable for me after all."
"Well, it was sort of obvious, but you really wanted it, so... Don't feel bad, let's see if I can find something more suitable for you. Your bow is almost ready too, by the way."
(Why do I always end up cheering her up with more weapons?)
Meanwhile, the target...
"Good job, Kureha! Your long-range skills are showing even here."
"Thank you, Master. I tried my best."
"Alright then. I'll get you girls something to hone your skills with. Hopefully soon."
"Thank you, Master. We look forward to training with it, whatever it may be."
(That's my Kureha.)

Re: kintaro's shinkis
That's one helluva muzzle flash. At least the firing range is durable as well. (lol)
