I must admit I laughed at the girls taking refuge behind the wall'o'chest.

Yukihana hasn't been getting as much attention as her (slightly) more outgoing sister, so I thought I'd make something for her. I got these Kotobukiya polearms and painted them to try to match Yuki's colors (gray came out a bit darker than I wanted, oh well).

Image

"Master, are these for me?"
"Yeah, go ahead and check them out."
Image

So she did...

Image

G: "Hey, can you do that Kung-Fu thing? You know, with the spear?"
Y: "I shall try..."
Image

"YIIIII~I!"
Image

"HAAAA~A!"
Image

"O~OOOH!"
(Very Angry Fox Style?)
Image

"Master, I am familiar with the naginata, but I am unsure what this weapon is?"
"Well, it's an ax. Or maybe a halberd?"
Image

"Is it used in this fashion?"
"Hmm, I don't know... Normally you use it to chop stuff off. Want to try?"
Image

"Here, all yours..."
Image

Image

"Nice."
(I am actually impressed with how functional these Kotobukiya weapons are. Despite being plastic the sharp/pointy parts are quite capable of drawing blood if one is not careful.)
Image

"It is a great honor to accept..."
"Oh come on, what's with all the formalities?"
Image

"Umm... Thank you, Master."
"You're very welcome."
Image

"I shall use them well."
Image

Checking out Yuki's new toys.
Image

...and this is what happens when the weapon is heavier than you are:
Image

"Oops."
Image

G: "What?"
Y: *facepalm*
Image

Never a dull moment with these four.

February 23, Kureha's and Yukihana's birthday (a.k.a. anniversary of their models' release).

Not weapons this time.

Patricia and Greta already have experience with putting yukatas on, so they volunteered to help.
Image

Image

I found the degree of (accidental) color coordination pretty amusing:
Image

"Here, all done!"
Image

"Master, it is our honor to..."
"Girls, could you forget about the formalities and just relax and have fun for a change?"
Image

"Fun?"
Image

So they went ahead and played some sort of traditional game. I guess I'll be getting them a temari ball next time.
Image

Meanwhile Greta earned a pat on the head from her big sister for helping Kureha. Which is a welcome change after that earful Patricia gave her when she heard about a certain "axe accident". (Patricia takes her big sister duties very seriously.)

And yet where did the Shadow Fox draw blood on me?

On its ears.
