Hi!!! Just making a post so I can dump photos from time to time, while I try to get decent photographic skills so I can come nearer to my objective of making a photocomic.

But lets not talk about farfetched dreams, you´ve come here for the images. Therefore, I shall present you...

Arnval in the morning.

Ok, first lesson learned: Make your images with less size.

do you have a photo editing program so you can resize the picture?

Um... I think I do not. Where can I get one that resizes them automatically?

I'd suggest downloading gimp as well. It's a decent photo editing program and it's free, so you don't have to shell out for photoshop if you don't want.

I'd second GIMP if you're going to do anything more than take and resize photos. There are probably more user-friendly programs out there for the simpler stuff though. In fact, I do believe MS Paint will let you resize a photo, no? Anyway, 1280 wide is probably a good maximum size for posting here. Also, try giving her a bit more light, or use a flash if that's the best light you have...

Thanks to the posts of other users, I went and downloaded GIMP.

Here is a first try with the program.

But, why is the gimp image looking so pixelated?

because GIF format only supports 256 colors max. that's why that pic looks so pixelated, try to save your finished pics on JPG format, that will save you a lot of trouble.

AND the image size is still too big, try to reduce it a bit more ok?

Yeah, thanks for the tip. I would have thought it was fault of the cropping process, not the choice of archive. You have saved me lots of hours of frustra...

Huh?
