I know how it is to have a fear of taking shinkis in public.
I tried to do it once, I but when it came to taking pictures in the main place that I wanted to
I chickened out because there were a lot of people around. Not to mention the friend
that i was hanging out with is not one to be interested in things of that nature. ^_^;
I wouldn't doubt if she thought I was ..... lets just say "not all there".

I'm lucky that most my friends are in the Ball Jointed Doll hobby so they don't bat an eyelid when I bring out a shinki at a café to take pictures or anything. But even my non dolly friends are supportive. It sucks she wasn't interested. I hope she didn't think that much, that would be horrible. =C
I found just sticking on a pair of headphones really helps with outdoor photography. Helps you concentrate on what you're doing and tends to keep people from trying to talk to you. I occasionally get older ladies who are interested when I'm taking photos, particularly of my dragons, but they always seem to be nice enough.

I've actually been itching to take a photo like this since I got Razz but I never ended up buying a mic and micstand. Luckily I got 3 of the new Hatsune Miku figma (2 for future customs) I have 2 spare lying around.

Hogmanay as it's called here is a big thing in Scotland so I'm going through to see my Mum tomorrow. Here's to 2014!!
