Hello all, I am new to this site as well as to Shinkis. I found this site as I was searching on Google hoping to learn more about the Shinkis. I only have one opened box Shinki so far and she is Zyrdarya. I am a big fan of girls in armor and anime female fighters so when I saw her on sale for about 15 USD at a local toy store, I scooped her up right away not knowing anything about her. I went back to the toy store not long after and bought every Shinki they have in stock. However, I have not opened the rest and they are still sealed in package. Since then, my goal is to collect every Shinkis that was ever released. :biggrin:

I do have one newbie question about repaints and re-releases. Are they in any way different from the original release? Can you tell that they are repaints or re-releases from their outer packaging? Thanks and nice to meet you all!

The repaints always have unique packaging; either brown cardboard boxes with black lineart in the case of Dengeki exclusives, or full-color boxes clearly showing the differences in the case of Konamistyle exclusives.

good luck tracking "every Shinkis that was ever released", mind you most will jump well over the 15 usd mark
Sometimes(seldom) re-releases have few extra itens- straf bis and arnval tranche come with new molds and extra bits from their original release for example- but its about the only case(?)
Some are just recolor with dif characters/bodies, case of fubuki and mizuki or altrene and altines.

Ex sets , now extint, will work with all the mms1 body molds, but SOME parts will not be compatible with the new mms3 body molds, present in recent releases.

EX sets are new characters themselves; you just have to supply a body for them, as they don't come with them.

Hello from the start. I've apparently found somewhere new to express myself, if I feel like it. I got my first 2 shinki (Graffias & Vespelio) on a whim, and now I seem to be hooked. My Gundam and Cuteness obsessions are definitively going to drive my selections and eventual customizations.

Well, I never thought I'd be on this site, but then again, there's a lot I never thought I'd do.
As you can probably tell, I'm Rubixbox. I was (am) a prowler on TFW2005 by the name of Boxorak. Or maybe I shouldn't say that?
Anyway, I haven't got ANY shinkis yet, but I've ordered myself a Welkstra on friday....she'll arrive sometime this week, hopefully tomorrow. the wait is killing me.
So.....yeah.

Werk was my first as well (Okay so Partio and Valona arrived at the same time) and she's amazing =3 Amazing enough that I bought the repaint so I have two werks.
