how do you accidentally stumble onto fanart without searching for it or being on a fanart site(in which such this should be expected)? and especially fanart that causes reactions like this.

Here's a tip: Don't look on Gelbooru for non-sexual fan-art. Sure, it has some, but the amount it does have is dwarfed by all the porn. It's the reason I try to avoid the site myself.

my advice is to just use google images, google lets you be a bit more specific, just put () around what you search and it will only show you what you typed, or just stick to good review sites and youtube like me, youtube is a great place to find reviews and character art slide shows that shouldn't contain any un-savory images due to people who sit on youtube all day and report such works

Problem with google: you'll still get porn whether or not you turn of safesearch (Although safesearch does decrease the amount by quite a bit) and safesearch sometimes excludes results that aren't porn. Sometimes, it's best to just figure out a different key word. This is especially the case when you're looking for MS girls AKA gundam girls. Use the japanese characters for that one or a lot of porn will show up, and not even related porn at that. It's really annoying.
