It's a japanese term for 'shut in', essentially. Used to refer to "acute social withdrawal", where a person actively avoids social interaction, often to the point of not leaving their room/house unless absolutely necessary. It can happen for a number of reasons, or even just be due to agoraphobia.

But regardless, welcome to our new members!

Hello! I'm a long-time lurker...
Not too sure what to say. Well I love figures (articulated or not), robots, B movies, science in general, photography, dolls, fairy tales and legends and mythology. Ah, video games too.



I have 5 Shinkies (Waffe Dolphin not of the picture because I'm one body short). I would love to have more, but tough financial situation leaves me with virtually zero money for anything frivolous.
To sum it up, I'm here to live my love for Busou Shinkis vicariously through your pictures.
