Re: gunpla and other model kits!
i assume this is the proper thread to ask for help....
i need a Stand for 1/60 gunpla but i dont want to modify an action base 1 (which i have) to support the weight, and i dont want to waste money on kits like MG EX-S or PG Skygrasper just for the stand...
suddenly i found this place: http://unicorne.net/archives/190
*points at the latest batch of pics with Wing Zero Custom in Mid-Air holding his beamsword* (edited)
i asked the guy for the stand he was using for that PG kit but he only told me it was a slightly modded stand, and didnt give me any name or reference of it.... ¿does anyone recognize that stand? if so... where can i get it?
or does anyone know of another stand that can support PG kits?.... thanks in advance!

Re: gunpla and other model kits!
you are looking at the wrong pics (and i already have an action base 1)Xehn wrote:...that's an Action Base 1, Hal.
the pics where wing zero is holding the beamsword, he's in a totally different stand... put the slideshow on full screen if you have to, you will notice the difference

Re: gunpla and other model kits!
Just got this in the mail today:
It's name is legend.
It was the best for the longest time
It now resents humanity
It will accept all challanges, but only to those whom are worthy.
It is... Nine-Ball
Yes, Nine-ball, from Armored Core: Nine Breaker.
Utilizing Birthday money, I decided to further influence my sudden urge for AC by aquiring this kit.
Posabillity and design are pretty dang good, and the details are also just as good. As it is by Kotobukiya, it required absolutely no glue at all to construct. What I found facinating is that it had no need for decals. The major details have been pre-painted onto the runners, the example here is the emblem right on the shoulder.
Being part of the AC "Variable Infinity" line, it is able to mix and match parts between ACs of it's gen. The weapons are molded with splended detail, even the Grenade Launcher can fold up for storage, and unfold for firing!
Now if ya want something to spice up your model kits collection, or for you photocomicers, a great mercenary for hire.
My current koto kits, pretty sure i'll eventually get more... someday.

Re: gunpla and other model kits!
Why do I get the strangest feeling that the Nine Breaker is piloted by Cirno? Anyways, you guys are all so much better at this than me! I'm always to scared to paint my models, afraid I'll mess up. I also don't know where I can buy Detailing markers and such. However, I must say, EXCLUDING DETAILING, some gundams, such as the Unicorn, look almost better without paint. And then there are ones like the 1/144th HG Deathscythe, which comes with a piss yellow "Beam scissor" blade.
