While i was waiting for Pacific Rim movie @ an Imax theater in Jakarta, i went to Toys Kingdom. Found these two:

Hey, come on. To be honest, i can't afford a Storm Wing Xevoz in Ebay (if it even exist). With half price, i can get two, bigger, Storm Wing look-a-like figurines.

Yeah, the Chima sets are neat. Some weird proportions, but neat.

And they become more awesome with a little modding.

I noticed some new part attached to either their limbs or their feet... Did you actually buy 2 set for 1 character? Like, buying 2 set of Laval? & wow, those talons on the Razar & Eris... Where did that came from?

Actually, the added parts were pieces I had left over from modding the Hero Factory guys. For example, Laval's feet were parts from Rocka (I bought extras of him for more lion claws), and the chains on Razar's hooks were extra Hero Cuff chains.

The talons on the birds were created using a pair of t-bars (This thing), and the Exo force robot arms that a lot of sets use as fingers, clamps, or decoration (Laval, for example, has them as fingers). They're based on Hydraxon's hands, which have basically the same build. I use the hand build for all of my MOCs.

Those are really nice hands. I need to see if I can't make something like that.

with more recent sets the little t-bar things are a lot more common than before so it's a lot easier to put those hands together. the ninjago ice dragon set came with four each.


I think with the chimafactory sets, my biggest issue with the birds is the wings just... don't really look like wings.

I want the alligator because he actually has chompy jaws but he's not bulky enough overall...
