Customizing

Who around here makes Custom figures? I've been working on Transformers for a while now and I know I'm not the only one who is looking for tips and advice, so here's a place for all us customizers to exchange information.

Ok. My first question would be, does anyone know a good replacement for Dropkick's reverse joint legs? or a way to attack the pickup back to the legs instead of forming "wings" on the back. (BTW, anyone wanting to swap head, it's easy to swap Dropkick's for a 1/144 Gundam head)

Second of all, anyone have a good transformation idea for an aircraft carrier? I'm wanting to turn the following into a Transformer:

For the aircraft carrier: Look up G1 Broadside and see if that sparks your creative juices.

I have both Armada Tidal Wave and the G1 Broadside figures. (I also have an Armada Tidal Wave painted like Broadside)

What I'm trying to figure out is parts to use for joints and how the heck I'm going to get it to transform (and where to cut the boat frame for armor panels)

You might be able to use a Supreme Devastator for parts...?

90$ is the cheapest I've seen him......

and if I ruin it like the last transformer I tried to customize.......well, that was only 10$ and I was pissed.

yes, but see, you'd be hacking him into chunks anyway to get it to transform.

On another note, how would I Sculpt a Helmet for a Busou Shinki figure? And I mean one that is removable that goes over the hair peices.
