Noppin

Post by Ron8675309 » Sat Nov 15, 2014 3:59 am

So I just signed up for this proxy and was wondering if anyone had any experience using it. I gave it a look on someone's recommendation, but when I tried to bid on something I got this message that I need to put down a deposit through Paypal first. That struck me as a little sketchy. Has anyone had good experiences with Noppin? And how much deposit is reasonable to put down, for example, on a Shinki running 15600 yen?

You only need a deposit for the auctions. This is in case the auction is won but the client can't pay, so they can recoup their losses.
You got the right to bid up to 3 times your deposit for an auction. So, in your example, I'd say you'd have to put around a 6000 yen deposit to be sure. Also, note : the deposit is completely separate from the payment of the auction, but you can ask for you deposit back any time you want.
I use noppin both for auction and for shopping, never had any problem with them.

So does that mean the deposit never goes away and you can use the same deposit on more than one auction, assuming 3x it covers the bidding price? Or do you have to make a new deposit for each auction?
