You can get stuff from missions, as well as from turning in the CSC you can get from achievements. Some of it is quite good.

Since movement skills count too, it's really easy to get at higher levels. But yeah, you need a decent amount of SP.

With the repaints, their stuff has the same stats as the normal gear, but the body stats are different. Different values and good with different weapons.
